Did you know that rental
units must be inspected and registered with Baltimore County? On
December 19, 2007 the Baltimore County Council passed Bill 87-07
requiring that all buildings containing one to six dwelling units
intended for rental or lease and occupancy for living purposes be
registered and licensed with Baltimore County.
Key points outlined by Bill 87-07:
-
The buildings must be
registered and licensed by July 1, 2008.
-
Fines will be imposed
for buildings not in compliance.
-
The property must be
inspected by a home inspector licensed with the Maryland Department
of Labor, Licensing & Regulations.
