Baltimore County Rental Inspections

The information on this page is provided for the benefit of landlords managing properties in Baltimore County.

Did you know that rental units must be inspected and registered with Baltimore County? On December 19, 2007 the Baltimore County Council passed Bill 87-07 requiring that all buildings containing one to six dwelling units intended for rental or lease and occupancy for living purposes be registered and licensed with Baltimore County.

Key points outlined by Bill 87-07:

  • The buildings must be registered and licensed by July 1, 2008.

  • Fines will be imposed for buildings not in compliance.

  • The property must be inspected by a home inspector licensed with the Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing & Regulations.

The inspectors at U.S. Inspect are fully licensed and trained to inspect your rental properties as required by this new law. Call us for more information.

Please call us at (888) 874-6773 for more information or to order an inspection.
