U.S. Inspect Appoints Carlson President and CEO

Chantilly, VA - - U.S. Inspect, Inc. today announced the appointment of J. Richard "Rich" Carlson as President and Chief Executive Officer and Director on the Board.

"I am absolutely thrilled to be a part of the U.S. Inspect team," said Carlson. "I admire the commitment to excellence that has enabled U.S. Inspect to become a recognized national leader in the home inspection industry. I look forward to building on the company's past successes to help the company realize its enormous potential."

Prior to joining U.S. Inspect, Mr. Carlson served as President and CEO of Teletouch Communications, Inc., a publicly traded wireless communications company with a focus on the messaging industry. While at Teletouch, Mr. Carlson grew the company in a declining industry. He developed and implemented a new strategic direction and assembled a team that increased revenues from $41 million to $60 million within three years.

Mr. Carlson has also served in executive roles at IDB Mobile Communications, a leading mobile satellite service provider, and Coastel Communications Company. At IDB Mobile Communications, Mr. Carlson successfully revamped the marketing strategy, launched new services and improved marketing communications and pricing to achieve positive cash flow for the first time in the company's history. While at Coastel Communications Company, he successfully led a team that increased annual revenues an average of 60% per year from 1993 to 1995.

Mr. Carlson received his Masters of Business Administration from Georgetown University and his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia.

U.S. Inspect Chairman and Co-founder Keith Fimian said Mr. Carlson's arrival brings an infusion of fresh ideas that will dramatically differentiate U.S. Inspect as the undisputed industry leader. "These are exciting times for U.S. Inspect," said Fimian. "Business is up sharply this year and we are extremely delighted to have someone of Rich Carlson's caliber share in the vision of taking this company to the next level. Rich has the experience, ability and determination to do just that."
