U.S. Inspect Reports a Managerial ‘Changing of the Guard’

April 2005—U.S. Inspect, the nation’s leading inspection firm, announced today that long-time Northern Virginia Area Manager, Dale Hruby, is to retire and former Southern Virginia Area Manager, Bill Conner, is to be named District Manager of all Virginia Areas.

Keith Ruehl, U.S. Inspect East Cost Regional Director commented, “The company offers our sincere congratulations to Dale Hruby upon his retirement. His extensive knowledge and insight, his drive to better his area and the company as a whole, and his solid leadership and strength will be greatly missed.”

“U.S. Inspect works hard to hire only the best,” Ruehl added, “and it is wonderful to know that we will continue to have strong leadership in Virginia with Bill Conner.”

Conner has been an integral member of the U.S. Inspect team since he joined the company in 1997 through the acquisition of RJ Moore and was a natural choice to fill the position, Ruehl said.

“His accomplishments since he joined U.S. Inspect are numerous,” Ruehl said, “and we are excited to see what the future holds.”

Conner is eager to tackle his new position at U.S. Inspect. “I’ve been serving as area manager of our Southern Virginia area since I joined the company in 1997, so in a way, it will be business as usual, serving my clients and leading our inspectors. But this new position brings new challenges and an opportunity to do more and reach more clients—and that’s very exciting.”

“Of course I also have some big shoes to fill in the Northern Virginia area,” Conner added. “Dale has been an integral member of the U.S. Inspect Team for a long time. He built a reputation for going above and beyond for his clients, and he served as a mentor for many in the company. I’ll be working hard to carry on his legacy.”

As for Dale Hruby, he and his wife Dodie plan to travel the world. Between trips Dale will remain with U.S. Inspect as a Trainer/Consultant.

Effective immediately, Bill Conner will transition to District Manager in charge of all U.S. Inspect markets in Virginia. He will continue to reside in the Richmond area with his family; wife Peggy and daughter Emily.

Throughout the short transition, U.S. Inspect explained in a letter to area real estate agents, clients will “continue to enjoy the same high level of professionalism and personal attention [they] are used to,” and will continue to have uninterrupted access to professional home inspection services and resources.

“U.S. Inspect offers Dale and Bill congratulations and the best of luck in all that lies ahead,” said Ruehl.
