NATION’S LEADING INSPECTION FIRM SOWS NEW SEEDS IN THE GARDEN STATE

Chantilly, VA. October 2003- U.S. Inspect, the nation’s leading home inspection firm based in Chantilly, VA., announced today the addition of Ecological Residential & Commercial Inspections, Inc. “Ecological” and Gotham Home & Building Inspection Service, Inc. “Gotham”, both of New Jersey, to the U.S. Inspect Team.

U.S. Inspect is a national inspection firm with offices in over 30 metro areas from coast to coast. Expanding its base every year, this is their first acquisition in New Jersey.

According to Keith Ruehl, U.S Inspect’s Eastern Regional Director, this move brings on board two leading forces in the New Jersey home inspection industry, providing U.S. Inspect with an immediate presence in the Garden State.

Owner and president of Ecological, Mike Fitzpatrick, will be the new Area Manager for U.S. Inspect in New Jersey.

Mike conducted his first inspection in 1974 and has personally conducted over 14,000 home inspections, and over 8,000 environmental inspections. He has a master's degree in community health and planning, provides corporate-level training for the national real estate industry on a variety of topics, and is in his fifth year serving on the New Jersey State Home Inspector Advisory Committee.

Peggy Fitzpatrick, president of Gotham and former director of marketing for Gotham and Ecological, will head all marketing efforts for the New Jersey area as Area Sales Manager for U.S. Inspect in New Jersey. She has a B.S. in education and is also an active affiliate member of both the North Central Jersey Association of Realtors and Passaic County Board of Realtors.

Mike and Peggy have brought Ecological and Gotham to the top of the home inspection industry in New Jersey, and say they plan to do the same as U.S. Inspect.

Mike expressed his enthusiasm about this new challenge in his career. “The idea that our client-focused business and professional inspection services can be expanded to serve more people in New Jersey is very exciting to me. Truly the best of both worlds—the same local licensed inspectors and office staff along with the depth and technological sophistication of U.S. Inspect. I see only good things ahead for homebuyers in New Jersey,” Mike said.

Bringing nearly 30 years of experience and expertise to the table, U.S. Inspect spokesmen say Mike and Peggy Fitzpatrick will prove to be an invaluable asset to the U.S. Inspect team as they work to make U.S. Inspect the leading-force in home inspections in New Jersey.

Ecological and Gotham will be in a period of transition as Ecological/U.S. Inspect and Gotham/U.S. Inspect, until they are fully integrated under the U.S. Inspect name.
