Nation’s Leading Inspection Firm Finds a gem in the Emerald city

Seattle January 2005- U.S. Inspect, the nation’s leading home inspection firm headquartered in Chantilly, VA., announced today they have completed an assets purchase agreement with Pro-Spec Home Inspections of Seattle.

U.S. Inspect is a national inspection firm with offices in over 30 metro areas from coast to coast. Expanding its base every year, this is their first acquisition in Wash., part of a movement to further expand into the Northwest.

According to Tom Carroll, U.S Inspect’s Western Regional Director, this move brings on board a leading force in the Washington home inspection industry, providing U.S. Inspect with an immediate presence in the very active Seattle home inspection market.

Owner and president of Pro-Spec Kurt Long will be the new Territory Manager for U.S. Inspect in Washington State.

Long has been inspecting homes for real estate buyers since 1993.  He has an extensive background in residential construction, has personally performed over 4000 home inspections and is a licensed Pest (WDO) Inspector with the State of Washington. Kurt also teaches a Home Inspection series of classes at Bellevue Community College

He expressed his enthusiasm about this new challenge in his career. “The idea that our client-focused business and professional inspection services can be expanded to serve more people in the Seattle area is very exciting to me. I see only good things ahead for homebuyers in Washington,” Long said.

“Bringing over 10 years of experience and expertise to the table,” Carroll said, “Long and his team will prove to be an invaluable asset to the U.S. Inspect team as they work to make U.S. Inspect the leading-force in home inspections in Washington State.”

“We are very excited to add such high quality, knowledgeable individuals to our team, as they mirror our commitment to quality,” Carroll said.  “We look forward to building a dominant Seattle team around Kurt and his inspectors, and we hope to use this as a springboard to expand to other markets in the Northwest.”

Pro-Spec will go through a period of transition as Pro-Spec-U.S. Inspect until they are fully integrated under the U.S. Inspect name later this year.
