CHANTILLY, Virginia – August 31, 2015 – US Inspect is launching infrared cameras for home inspections in Florida, Colorado, Northern Virginia, and Houston.
Infrared thermography (IR) is the use of a thermal imaging camera to view infrared energy emitted from objects. IR cameras help US Inspect inspectors to identify issues that otherwise may not be visible to the naked eye, including plumbing leaks, roof leaks, exterior water intrusion, overloaded circuits, conditions conducive to mold growth, missing insulation, missing HVAC registers, and conditioned air leakage from ductwork.
Many items discovered with the help of an IR camera may be unknown, even to the property’s seller. Information captured by IR can be used to facilitate decision-making by giving customers the ability to pin-point areas of concern, avoid unnecessary guess work, and eliminate perceived concerns.
"As the nation's leading inspection firm, our infrared-enhanced home inspections sets a new standard for what a quality inspection is in this industry," said Jonathan “JB” Haller, US Inspect’s Chief Operations Officer.
By integrating infrared technology and expertise in infrared thermal imaging with each inspection, US Inspect delivers the industry’s most advanced inspection technology, helping buyers to learn more than they ever thought possible about the property they’re considering buying.
Infrared-enhanced inspections are available immediately in Florida; prospective clients and their Realtors can obtain more information by speaking with a US Inspect customer at 1.888.US-INSPECT.
