Inspector Profile: Steve (Joaquin) Fuster
Every day, hundreds of homes are inspected across the country by our employee inspectors. We want to recognize the work they do and allow you to get to know the team of dedicated U.S. Inspect Building Consultants you may have the fortune of meeting at your inspection. Today, we'd like to introduce Steve Fuster, an inspector on our Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina team.

Tell us what you like most about being a home inspector? "Just when you think you've seen it all, someone always finds a new way to potentially cause a fire, flood, explosion, or just general havoc on a house. Most of the time it's just general havoc."
What are we likely to find you doing when not at work? "I am usually playing/coaching soccer or baseball with my boys. I volunteer as a Cub Scout Den Leader, archery hunt during deer season, and play classical guitar as much as possible."
Who inspires you most in your life? "My wife, absolutely. She always knows the right thing to do, and she tells me I'm a good guitarist! I don't believe she knows any other guitarists."
Tell us something not many people know about you. Because my father was a Navy/Commercial/General Aviation pilot for 40 years, I have flown about 25 different jet/turbo prop/piston engine aircraft with my father at my side.
Do you have a favorite quote? "The government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And, if it stops moving, subsidize it." A quote by Ronald Reagan.
You mentioned playing a guitar. Who are your favorite musicians? "Stevie Ray Vaughan, Andres Segovia, Paco De Lucia, David Gillmore, Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson, and Neil Peart."
Any favorite activities you'd like to share? "Spending time with my family and cooking. My specialties are home made Chicago deep dish pizza, mussels in a red wine/saffron/garlic/bacon/sherry reduction, and Eastern Carolina BBQ pulled pork shoulders!"
Anything else you'd like our readers to know about yourself? "I joined a grunge/rock band in the mid 90's just to meet girls, and the first girl I met, I ended up marrying! 16 years later, well, I guess it worked!
Steve joined U.S. Inspect in 2005, has been recognized by his peers as Employee of The Month, and continues to serve North Carolina customers daily.
Thanks Steve! We wish you and your family the best, always!
