Top 5 Tales from the Road 2009
As home inspectors we come across so many things every day--unusual buildings, spectacular homes, never-before-seen defects, strange animals--even ghosts! We've been sharing some of those Tales from the Road with you all of you throughout the year here on our Blog. So, as 2009 comes to a close, I thought it would be fun to take a look back at our Top 5 posts!
Funky Bugs - Let's call this one the Funky Bugs Phenomenon! This became a series including: Funky Bugs on the Road, Funky Bugs: Car Trouble, and Funky Bugs: Tarantula Edition! Each of the posts was very popular, so a big thanks to Faith Greenwell for sharing her adventures with us.- Honoring Our Veterans - This post was part of the Human Qualities Series, written by Bill Zoller, US Army, Vietnam, 1971. A poignant piece released on Veterans Day, it was a great addition to a new series we are very proud of--thanks Bill!
- What's Wrong with this Picture - Can you guess what's wrong with this picture was the premise for 11 popular posts this year! My personal favorite is: Buried A/C, though our post on an improperly installed radon mitigation vent sparked some important discussion.
- The Things that Haunt Houses - This favorite was originally posted in August and also made a reprint appearance during Halloween--it's a humorous and spooky look at home inspections with a great personal story included (hard to explain--just check it out, it's great). Another great one from author Marshall Hall was Inspecting Funeral Homes--be sure to check that one out too!
- Crawlspaces Are Fun - Honestly, they are! Okay, well maybe only to home inspectors. We really do enjoy what we do even when we are crawling in the dirt or balancing on a rooftop. We are the kind of people who love finding new things and meeting new people everyday. This post was a great humorous explanation of why crawlspaces are indeed fun! Enjoy!
Well, I hope you have enjoyed taking a look back at our top five Tales from the Road posts. Have a wonderful and safe rest of the year and a Happy and Healthy New Year! From everyone here at U.S. Inspect. We look forward to sharing more of our tales in 2010!
