Topic: Commercial Investment Market

I spent the earlier part of last week attending the PRSM Conference in Orlando. PRSM is an association for facility managers of retail stores, typically large portfolios. Like RFMA (Restaurant Facility Management Association) a couple of months ago, this was a great conference. PRSM is one of those associations that make the vendors feel welcome. Not only the association, but the retailers in attendance took the time to chat with the vendors and to see if there might be a chance to work together.
 

Are you headed to the PRSM show? PRSM stands for the Professional Retail Store Maintenance Association and their big annual conference is coming up April 18-20 in Orlando. I understand it is a great conference for anyone involved with retail store portfolio maintenance (either on the retail side or servicing the industry).

Last month I had the pleasure of attending our first RFMA Conference. RFMA stands for the Restaurant Facilities Management Association and this event brings together several hundred facility managers for national and regional chain restaurants and their vendors. This was one of the best run and friendliest conferences I have ever attended. With so many conferences, service providers (vendors) are pushed off to the exhibit hall and are almost treated as a necessary evil. Not so with RFMA.
