U.S. Inspect Celebrates 25 Year Anniversary

On Friday, September 16th, U.S. Inspect celebrated its 25th anniversary. They marked the event with a party at their corporate office in Chantilly, Viriginia, attended by past and present employees. They showed a video that captured the company's evolution from radon to home and commercial inspections.

CHANTILLY, Va. (March 29, 2011) - U.S. Inspect announced today a new online resource center for real estate agents. Based on the collective home-related knowledge of their inspectors, they created a library of information that is updated weekly, called the Agent Resource Center (ARC).

Surge in Pending Home Sales Continues Thanks to Home Buyer Tax Credit Approaching Deadline

According to a NAR article released yesterday, the surge in pending home sales continues. "Pending home sales have risen for three consecutive months," NAR stated, "reflecting the broad impact of the home buyer tax credit and favorable housing affordability conditions, according to the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS®."

House Passes HOME STAR Energy Retrofit Act In Bipartisan Vote 246-161

Yesterday the House of Representatives passed the HOME STAR Energy Retrofit Act in a bipartisan vote of 246-161.

For those of you who may not know about the act, it is a $6 billion program that is designed to give people a financial incentive to make green changes to their homes and includes homeowner rebates up to $8,000 on certain energy-efficient retro-fits, for one. Of course it's a bit more complicated than that (and there is still debate on whether this is the "next best thing," or just another economic miss-step) but that's the basic gist.

CHANTILLY, Va., April 14 – U.S. Inspect today announced the unveiling of real-time online scheduling, now available at usinspect.com/schedule.

Although the company has been offering instant online estimates since 1998, this is the first time complete online ordering has been made available. It is a feature that is largely unavailable anywhere else in the industry.
