We know the homes in Colorado and we are equipped to inspect some of the more common issues facing Colorado residents. Because of expansive soils, home foundations are constantly a problem. Most homes typically have raised concrete or wood floors in the basement and homes built from the 1980's on are built on caissons instead of spread footers because of the instability of the soil. Radon is also a recurrent problem with 1/3 of homes estimated to have elevated levels by the EPA. Other issues that are unique to Colorado include intense damaging UV rays because of the altitude, and severe weather such as hail and heavy snow that can damage roofs.
