Advisory Report

July, 2003

Oklahoma!!!

According to sources within the Oklahoma Pest Control Association, the Governor of  Oklahoma recently signed a new law, which will institute the use of a state-mandated Wood Infestation Report. The new forms are not yet available, but the new format is expected to be instituted within six months.

Formerly, Oklahoma had used the NPCA-1 Wood Destroying Insect Report. It is one of the only areas of the country where the NPCA-1 form is used and the normally optional moisture attachment is mandated via lender requirements. The attachment reports on the presence of wood destroying fungi and excessive moisture in structures.
