I don’t need a home inspection because I am purchasing a brand-new house. Buyers should never assume that all systems and components of the new home function and operate properly. Simply put, new construction is no longer a guarantee of quality. But don’t just take our word for it. Even the Council of Better Business Bureaus* agrees that buyers should have their home inspected—old or new—in order to minimize repair surprises at a later date. A home inspection is undoubtedly one of the wisest investments you will ever make, one that complements what will most likely be the largest investment you will ever make. *according to the Better Business Bureau’s "Tips on Home Inspections" It doesn’t really matter which inspection company I choose. Buyers should take the time to investigate the company in order to select one that will help them make a confident home buying decision.
