Using the latest technology available, our Goochland home inspectors are among the most sophisticated in the business. We are able to provide onsite computer generated reports with digital photographs providing thorough and comprehensive inspection reports instantly.
Water penetration, mold, mildew and fungus issues are among the major concerns in the southern Virginia area. Our inspectors take great care when inspecting buildings looking for structural and floor insulation damage due to humidity and poor ventilation. The majority of homes in this area (80-85%) have crawlspaces and crawlspaces are excellent homes for mold and the like. Subterranean termites are also a common problem.
The Richmond area also has a substantial number of older constructions and inspecting 75-125 year old buildings is not unusual. Older buildings have dated systems like knob and tube wiring which can pose safety problems, asbestos, outdated boilers and heating systems. Our inspectors are knowledgeable about modern and older construction practices and are quite thorough in their inspections ensuring all of the homeowner’s concerns are addressed.
