Craig is trained in electrical safety, low pressure boilers and controls, historic mortars and stone repair and is a Certified Mold Measurement Technician (ESA). Craig performs home inspections, relocation inspections, radon testing, Department of Energy inspections (DOE), commercial inspections and various other inspections. Craig’s extensive 40 year career in remodeling provides a valuable background for inspecting homes.
Craig began his career in the building industry as an assistant for a roofing/carpentry contractor and became a licensed builder in the late 1970s. His experience includes maintenance manager positions for two large child care institutions as well as for a historic church in downtown Detroit, Michigan, positions with two electrical contractors, positions with two pipe organ maintenance companies as well as his own small contracting business. The bulk of his contracting work included deck, porch and wheelchair ramp construction and repair, roofing, remodeling and building repair.
Trained as a military policeman and sentry dog handler, Craig served our country in Vietnam from 1970 until he was injured and returned to the US in 1971. When he was finally able to return to limited duty, he was reassigned to Ft. Carson in Colorado, where he finished his tour of duty in the Public Affairs and Information Office of the 4th Infantry Division.
