From the heavy rains and strong winds of the annual hurricanes to the fairly consistent high heat, weather plans a significant role in building construction and inspection issues in southeastern Florida.

Water intrusion from heavy rains can be an issue, as can roof stability. A major concern for homeowners in southeast Florida is with their roof blowing off from a hurricane. To help mitigate this issue, most use concrete tiles for roof coverings. Unfortunately while the weight of the concrete helps to secure the roof, the concrete doesn’t hold up as well with the extreme heat.
