Roofing Class Action Suit Settlement Reached
Weyerhaeuser Company Limited has agreed to a $105 million class action lawsuit settlement that involves faulty roofing shakes manufactured by its subsidiary, American Cemwood.
According to the Real Estate Intelligence Report (January 10, 2000), class action settlement eligibility includes consumers who own a property on which Cemwood roofing shakes were installed, and who live in one of the following states--Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin and Wyoming.
