The inspector missed the roof with heavy hail damage on his report and told me that it was all good with regular wear and tear. If I wouldn't have called a roofer, I would have never known. The seller's roofer found the same issue and fortunately seller is installing a new roof. The inspector missed a 25000 item, which would have hurt me in the long run. I am very dissatisfied with your service, the claims department didn't help too, they refused to send another inspector or refund my money. Please call me at 817-323-6577 to discuss further.

I have been referring US Inspect to my clients for approximately 7 years. Bob Egan has such a calming influence on Buyers it really gives them an opportunity to digest the inspection findings and make an educated decision. It's also good for the Seller because the Buyers are not nitpicking the property and nickle-and-diming the Seller over small dificencies. It's a win-win. The reports are always accurate, concise and easy to understand. My home inspector of choice is Bob but occasionally I have had to refer out a different HI because of location. Every inspector has been consistent in the quality of reporting, knowledge and professionalism. Bob provides the peace-of-mind needed for a real estate transaction...for Consumers on both sides of the table and their Agents!

Was not impressed with the last inspection. I don't see how a roof could be checked from the ground. If the reply is "you need to call a roofer" Then there is no sense in using an inspection company. We can pay the roofers, HVAC, electricians, and plumbers instead. Quit using House master (along with a number of other agents I work with) for similar reports.

The inspectors seemed very professional and competent. Since you asked for comments, I've come up with a few:
1. The report would have been easier to read if all the shed comments were together;
2. The washer/dryer wasn't mentioned among the kitchen appliances (though there was some advice on cleaning the dryer vent); I ended up confused about whether the dryer vented outside or inside.
3. I liked the photo of the shut-off valve--helpful.
4. No mention of whether or not there were any GFCI's, though instructions for their use were provided.

Although the inspector was very kind and helpful, the perception we have of the company is that the process is performed perfunctorily from booking to end. Radon test was not performed due to a booking error. Termite test was sold by agent as package over the phone, also not done nor honored. We had to extend due diligence with sellers due to Rn test results coming after deadline. Water spots on ceiling were missed during inspection and omitted in report, etc.

Additional, our inspector, Kevin Salva, was recommended by my parents who had their own home inspected when they were selling it and had their work cut out for them with the things Kevin was able to catch. Made them know they wanted to use him for whenever they needed their own inspections. It was no different for us! Be did a fantastic job and caught things the sellers didn't with their moisture/termite inspections. Very thankful!

I did not care for this particular inspector's style. His wording on the report is confusing and unclear. We are struggling to work out the addendum with the buyers and sellers. Also the email letting me know we were scheduled as well as the reminder did not have the actual inspectors name or contact information. Lastly the inspection was on a Saturday at 1:00 pm and I did not receive the report until late Monday morning after I called the office to inquire where it was.
